I had started with Terri as her sound engineer, and at the beginning of
2000, I was asked to fill in as tour manager and have been doing both jobs
ever since. I have seen this band change over the years and think the
combination now has a great feel and has been a blast to work with.
- As tour manager the tasks include everything from hotels to flights,
luggage to rental vehicles, budgets to settlements, merchandise to passes, set lists to
riders, interviews to meet and greets, food to lobby calls. If
it breaks, disappears, changes times, or doesn't show up while on the
road, that is what a tour manager takes care of.
- As sound engineer, that includes, with the help of Casey Carrier the
monitor engineer, setting and breaking down stage, DA-88's,
2-in-ear units, wireless microphones, and collecting clothes after the
show. As well as of course, engineering the shows.
